About the presenter:

Dr. Hysinger is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pulmonary Medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. He completed his undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He remained at Vanderbilt for medical school and Pediatrics training. Following residency, Dr. Hysinger completed his Pediatric Pulmonology training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he also obtained a Master's of Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Hysinger joined the faculty at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in 2016 where he founded and serves as the Co-Director of the Cincinnati Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia Center, which currently follows more than 450 patients with BPD throughout childhood and adolescence. He is funded by the NIH and Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute to study longitudinal respiratory outcomes in BPD focusing on imaging biomarkers and the interaction between parenchymal lung and central airway disease. In addition to premature lung disease, Dr. Hysinger’s clinical effort focuses on aerodigestive disease and bronchology. He is the co-founder and co-chair of the Pediatric Chapter of the AABIP.
