About Tracy J. Butler, MD
Tracy Butler, MD, is an emergency medicine physician at Phoenix Children's. She has over 20 years of experience caring for children across various settings, including emergency departments, pediatric intensive care units and urgent care clinics. Known for her collaborative approach, Dr. Butler focuses on building trust, communicating clearly and working seamlessly with her colleagues to support children and families at every step of their care.
Dr. Butler earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed her pediatric medicine residency at Children's Hospital of Orange County in Orange, California, followed by a fellowship in pediatric critical care at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She is board-certified in both pediatric medicine and pediatric critical care.
When she is not working, Dr. Butler enjoys spending time with family and friends. She stays active through hiking and Pilates.
