About Sean J. McManus, DO
Sean McManus, DO, is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Phoenix Children's. Dr. McManus is skilled at providing infants, children and adolescents with sedation, general anesthesia, regional anesthesia and acute pain management.
Dr. McManus earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. He completed his anesthesiology residency at Cleveland Clinic, where he served as chief anesthesiology resident and was twice named Resident of the Year. He later completed his fellowship training in pediatric anesthesiology at Boston Children's Hospital.
Dr. McManus is a Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research scholar, recognized for his work using machine learning to predict intensive care unit mortality. He is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Anesthesia Research Society and the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia.
Beyond his clinical role, Dr. McManus enjoys traveling with friends and family, golf, running, and playing with his dogs.
